Lawrence Brothers, Inc.

What started in 1974 by brothers, Jim and Dale Lawrence, as a welding business fabricating mine battery trays in a three-car garage in Springville, VA, has now grown into Lawrence Brothers Inc. (LBI), encompassing more than 80,000 square feet of building space and more than 100 employees.

Tempur Sealy

Southwest Virginia’s e-Region is home to Tempur Sealy, a global leader in the design, manufacturing and distribution of bedding products. The facility, located in Duffield, VA, was the first U.S. manufacturing plant for Tempur-Pedic.

Paul’s Fan Company

Paul’s Fan Company, founded by Paul Elswick, began in 1958 in Big Rock, VA, in Buchanan County. Today it continues to grow in the Southern Gap area of Buchanan County and is operated by Elswick’s son, Todd.
