BLUEFIELD, VA – May 6, 2026 — Offering mobile repair service for diesel trucks and equipment in Tazewell County, VA, is what sets Walker’s Xplicit Diesel LLC apart from other repair shops, according to owner, Joshua Walker. From cars and trucks to farm equipment, Walker offers repair service that comes to his clients.
Walker’s Xplicit Diesel LLC is a recent recipient of a $10,000 Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority (VCEDA) Seed Capital Matching Grant. Seed capital grants are funded from regional funds received by VCEDA which are paid by the natural gas industry.
“Walker’s Xplicit Diesel LLC fills a need for diesel performance and repair services in the area,” said Jonathan Belcher, VCEDA executive director/general counsel. “The business projects 10 full-time employees and five part-time employees within five years.”
In addition to repairs, Walker said, upgrades and maintenance for diesel trucks – both personal and commercial – along with agricultural equipment services are offered. He has more than 10 years of hands-on experience in working with diesel equipment. Repair service is offered 24/7 to provide complete roadside and repair solutions for diesel truck and automotive owners.
“The business has already built a strong reputation for reliable, high-quality services to diesel owners in Bluefield and the surrounding counties,” Walker said.
“At Walker’s Xplicit Diesel LLC, our mission is to deliver top-tier diesel performance and repair solutions that enhance reliability, power and efficiency for our customers, keeping personal, commercial and agricultural operations running at their best,” Walker continued. “From diagnostics to full engine rebuilds, Walker’s Xplicit Diesel LLC keeps you running smoothly and safely on the road every mile of the way.
“In addition to mechanical services, we also offer customers custom business gear such as shirts, hats, car decals and other branded merchandise to promote community pride and customer loyalty,” he added.
Walker said he used the seed capital grant funds for purchase of equipment, parts and supplies, as well as initial marketing efforts.
“The VCEDA grant was a huge help,” Walker said. “Everything I had done prior to receiving it had been completely out of my pocket.”
Walker worked with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Southwest Virginia Community College (SWCC) in developing his application to VCEDA. He received a letter of support from the Tazewell County Industrial Development Authority.
“The Southwest Virginia Community College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) congratulates Walker’s Xplicit Diesel, owned by Joshua Walker, on receiving a VCEDA Seed Capital Grant,” said SWCC SBDC Director Denise Harmon. “The SBDC was pleased to assist with the application process and is proud to support this new diesel service business as it contributes to small business growth and economic development in Southwest Virginia.”
“The Tazewell County IDA is excited to support Walker’s Xplicit Diesel LLC’s new mobile automotive service truck to Tazewell County and our surrounding region,” said Tazewell County Director of Economic Development Tim Danielson. “The IDA especially appreciates the support of VCEDA for new and expanding businesses in Tazewell County.
